More work for DFID shows SD works for Aid aimed at PSD. A sector = the sum of businesses in the sector, so we simply multiply the business model and enable businesses to start up and fail. Around this we can add constraints, such as poor roads or power, and use this to plan efforts to enable stronger growth. More on this in coming weeks.

Strategy Dynamics in non-business cases

Recent work for DFID on foreign Aid shows SD works for growth of Trade.  Export traffic is driven by traders and enabled by border crossings and staff. Around this simple core are other Enablers like good roads, and Disablers – banned products, corruption, documentation.  Plan is to build these principles into projects and programs of projects aimed at growing export trade from developing countries.
